ONVIF (Open Network Video Interface Forum) is the global standard that lets IP cameras, video recorders, and analytics platforms from different vendors interoperate. It defines profiles (S, T, M, G, A, C) covering streaming, advanced video, metadata, recording, access control, and door control. ONVIF compliance means an FI Tech analytics box can ingest any RTSP H.264/H.265 feed without proprietary SDKs, slashing integration time on brownfield Saudi sites where Hikvision, Dahua, Axis, and Bosch cameras coexist. Most enterprise CCTV deployed in KSA after 2018 ships ONVIF Profile S as the baseline streaming protocol.
