ONVIF Profile M, ratified in 2021, standardizes how analytics metadata flows between cameras, recorders, and analytics services. It defines event schemas for object detection, classification, license-plate reads, face attributes, counting, and zone events — the wire format every modern VMS expects. For FI Tech this matters because Profile M lets our analytics box emit standard JSON so any third-party Saudi VMS (Milestone XProtect, Genetec, Hikvision iVMS) can consume detections without custom adapters. Profile M is the cleanest path to vendor-agnostic alerting in mixed-camera estates common across Saudi mega-projects.
